This was a change in the way we managed the business; the response was overwhelming and the gain measurable. The workforce was empowered and many initiatives were taken. The basis of the success was training, communication and trust.

Central to the success of Hi-Tech has been the implementation of a robust IT strategy. Visual manufacturing was installed in 2003 at a time when the business was under pressure with its main customer moving work overseas. Investment was made, procedures implemented and a firm foundation for growth set. A business intelligence module was installed and this is the cornerstone of all decision-making.
