Wyeth is one of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies. Its UK manufacturing site at Havant is a centre of excellence for the packaging and supply of some of the company's most advanced medicines and vaccines including a breakthrough biological treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, innovative vaccines against meningitis, and a new class of antibiotic. The medicines are distributed in approximately 3000 shipments per year to 122 end customers covering Europe, Asia–Pacific, Middle East and Latin America. We package approximately 35 million packs into 250 variations of pack type. Over half of the shipments require a significant level of technology to ensure they are delivered in the correct temperature-controlled conditions. The 22-acre site is populated by 600 staff, and incorporates state-of-the-art packaging, storage, and distribution management systems. We pride ourselves on our ability to be flexible, agile and fast, as the vital medicines we prepare and supply improve patients’ lives worldwide.
